Moran Jr. to replace Huertas for Long Beach

– Dale Coyne Racing has confirmed that Rocky Moran Jr. will make his Verizon IndyCar Series debut this Sunday, replacing Carlos Huertas for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.The 34-year-old American tested an IndyCar at the Homestead-Miami road course last September for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports, but he otherwise hasn't raced in open wheels in a decade.  He participated in several Grand-Am Daytona Prototype events from 2006 to 2009, including the Rolex 24 at Daytona and the Grand-Am race at Long Beach, before competing full-time for Paul Gentilozzi in the American Le Mans Series in 2011.Moran Jr. was a Toyota Atlantics driver in the early 2000s, winning in Montreal and...
