King leads opening GP2 practice on debut

Jordan King led a Racing Engineering one-two in the first GP2 practice session of the year at Bahrain, edging out teammate Alexander Rossi by just a hundredth of a second. With the drivers focussing on long runs for most of the session, the quickest times all came within the first 15 minutes of running. Rossi established initial benchmark of 1m42.451s in the opening stages of the session, which went unbeaten until King managed to set a time 0.010s faster, demoting the Californian to second. DAMS driver Alex Lynn came closest to disrupting the Racing Engineering domination of the timesheets, lapping 0.068s slower than fellow rookie King and ending up third fastest. Stoffel Vandoorne...
