INDYCAR: Rain delays start of Texas race
The start of Saturday night's Verizon IndyCar Series race at Texas Motor Speedway has been delayed after daylong showers wet the track. Series officials hope to begin the 248-lap race around 9:30 p.m. CT. Heavy showers poured down throughout the day and stopped several hours before the originally scheduled start time. Track dryers are working to dry the track. Carlos Munoz will start from the pole for the first time in his IndyCar career. He will be joined on the front row by defending race winner Scott Dixon.
