Pagenaud Picks Up Pole and Pace Towards Championship

With spectacular weather as far as the eye could see, and the grounds and grandstands packed with fans for 'Free Prix' day, 22 drivers set about filling the grid positions for the 'Dual in Detroit'. And for the second time this season the top six wasn't Chevy only party, a positive sign for the competition. When all was said and done, it was 2016 Verizon IndyCar series points leader, and Simon Pagenaud placing the sticker on his wing, picking up where he left off prior to the Indianapolis 500; continuing his quest for the 2016 championship.
