Pagenaud leads Penske 1-2-3 for Detroit race 1

Simon Pagenaud scored his third pole position of the season as he and Team Penske-Chevrolet teammates Helio Castroneves and Juan Pablo Montoya will line up second and third. The runaway championship leader lapped the 2.35-mile course in 1min14.9166sec to edge Castroneves by a mere 0.0119sec, with Montoya over 0.6sec away. Perhaps most surprising is that the fourth member of the Penske quartet, Will Power, will only roll off ninth, after dominating this morning practice.
