Ed Carpenter Racing will add 2015 Indy Lights champion Spencer Pigot to the roster for the seven remaining road and street courses as a complement to Josef Newgarden, the 2011 Indy Lights champion. Pigot, who showed great poise on his Indy 500 debut in May with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, won a three-race prize to compete in IndyCar this year, but was in need of a long-term opportunity to continue his rookie season.
