Chip Ganassi pays tribute to Roger Penske
Despite being a fierce rival IndyCar team owner, Chip Ganassi was moved to pay tribute to Roger Penske, saying he’ll be forever grateful to him “for what he did for racing.” In a media gathering at Indianapolis Motor Speedway today, Ganassi said: “I think first and foremost I have to thank Roger for doing what he did for racing because it really provided a runway for people like me coming into the sport. “When I was a young kid in my early 20s, someone put me on the phone with Roger and I was asking him different questions about the sport.
