INDYCAR: Rookie orientation session concludes
The two-hour rookie orientation program session from noon to 2 p.m. saw Andretti Autosport's Alexander Rossi, Chip Ganassi Racing's Max Chilton, KV Racing/Team Murray's Matthew Brabham and KV's Stefan Wilson and Rahal Letterman Lanigan's Spencer Pigot take to the track along with veteran drivers completing their refresher course. The ROP process required the five to complete at least two phases of the test. The first phase of turning 10 laps over 210 mph and the second phase with 15 laps over 215 mph was met by all. The third phase, with 15 laps over 220 mph, was finished by Chilton, Pigot (pictured below) and Rossi, leaving Brabham and Wilson to knock out the final phase during open...
