Kanaan leads Chevrolet-dominated practice to kick of NOLA weekend

The track may be different, but the results are the same ... Chevrolet is fast.   Although the style of track is different, the results were still the same as first practice wrapped up for the Verizon IndyCar Series at NOLA Motorsports Park for Sunday’s inaugural Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana. Chevrolet had the top seven positions locked up and eight of the top ten as Tony Kanaan set the pace with a fastest lap of 1:18.8753, translating to 125.058 mph around the 2.74 mile road course. Following Kanaan were Will Power, Scott Dixon, Sebastien Bourdais and Simon Pagenaud rounding out the top five.
