Ed Jones takes Indy Lights pole at Barber

In a frantic final few minutes at Barber Motorsports Park, Carlin Racing’s Ed Jones earned pole for the weekend’s first race Lights race around the 2.38-mile road course near Birmingham, Alabama. Jones’ fastest time was 1min12.6738sec, putting him 0.17sec clear of Juncos Racing's Zachary Claman De Melo, while Dean Stoneman grabbed his best qualifying position of the year with third place for Andretti Autosport, a mere 0.0092 sec adrift.
