INDYCAR: Servia headed to SPM for Indy
One of the best seats remaining for the 100th Indianapolis 500 is likely going to be filled by veteran Oriol Servia. RACER.com has learned the 41-year-old Spaniard is expected to be introduced Saturday as the third driver for Schmidt Peterson Motorsports. "I thought we had a deal set but we had a little push-back on the contract by some people, so right now I'd put it at 75-25," said Schmidt on Friday from Barber Motorsports Park. Servia, who could not be reached for comment, is an eight-time starter at Indy with a best finish of fourth in 2012 but hasn't had a full-time IndyCar ride since 2011.
