RACER: Have Indy cars surpassed Formula 1 downforce levels?

The RACER Channel's Marshall Pruett speaks with leading Verizon IndyCar Series drivers and asks if the new 2015 road course aero kits have possibly pushed downforce figures past what Formula 1 cars offer today. Former Toro Rosso Formula 1 driver Sebastien Bourdais, who now drives for the KVSH Racing IndyCar team, believes the 2015-spec Indy cars with aero kits have moved past F1 cars in total downforce. "I think we do, actually. With the wings we carry on the cars, there's probably more downforce on an Indy car than there is in Formula 1.
