Serralles inherits St. Pete win after disaster strikes Veach

Carlin’s Felix Serralles took his second career Indy Lights win in the 2016 season opener at St. Pete, benefiting from series returnee Zach Veach’s bid for victory ending in bitter disappointment. Driving for the British team that won both Lights races at the track last year with Ed Jones, Serralles was second for much of Saturday's race before taking over out front when Veach slowed dramatically. From pole position, Kyle Kaiser led into Turn 1 as fellow front-row starter Felix Rosenqvist slowed at the rolling start and fell immediately to fourth.
