Rosenqvist tops first Indy Lights practice

Former European Formula 3 star Felix Rosenqvist turned in the fastest lap in the dying seconds of the first Indy Lights practice at St. Petersburg. Belardi Auto Racing's new star lapped the 1.8-mile track in  1min07.189sec, an average speed of 96.444mph to edge Scott Hargrove into second by 0.1195sec. Hargrove, who is so far guaranteed only this St. Petersburg race, has thus put Team Pelfrey right in the mix on the team’s debut at this level. Andretti Autosport’s signing Dean Stoneman was P3, just a few hundredths behind Hargrove with Carlin Racing’s sophomore Ed Jones in fourth.
