Le Mans winner joins Brabham Indy 500 campaign

Former Le Mans winner Vern Schuppan will play a part in Matt Brabham’s attempt to qualify for the 2016 Indy 500. Schuppan has taken an ambassador role with Pirtek Team Murray, the Austraian-based squad looking to make Matt Brabham just the third third-generation racer to start the iconic Indy 500. As well as winning Le Mans in 1983, Shuppan made three Indy 500 starts during his illustrious career.
