Toronto Race 1 red flagged, delayed due to rain

– Race 1 of the double-header in Toronto has been delayed due to rain.Cars were running behind the Safety Car en route to the starting grid when President of Competition and Operations, Derrick Walker, decided to run some extra pace laps after rain began to fall on the street course.  It was his hope that this would alleviate the severe lack of visibility drivers were reporting. As the rain intensified, though, IndyCar officials decided to throw the red flag and brought everyone back to the pit lane where teams were given 10 minutes to work on cars (since the race officially had not started yet).Declared a wet race ahead of time by IndyCar, all cars on the grid were on wet tyres...
