INDYCAR: Boston Grand Prix promoters meet with Governor Baker

Members of Grand Prix Boston met with Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker this week to continue planning for the Verizon IndyCar Series event set to debut on the streets of Boston in 2016. The meeting also included key state agencies responsible for issuing the permits and approvals that would allow the 2.5-mile Boston Waterfront street course to be utilized during the Sept. 2-4 event. The group meeting was likely held in response to a recent email sent from the office of Boston Mayor Martin Walsh. From the communication written by Patrick Brophy, Walsh's operations chief, the need for expedited progress to conclude agreements was made clear to the Grand Prix Boston's management team....
