IndyCar: Miles takes more hands-on role

The most asked question in the IndyCar paddock the past few weeks is who will run the show and take Derrick Walker's place as president of competition and operations. Turns out its kind of a trick question. While a replacement for Walker is being sought, RACER.com has learned that Mark Miles has decided to take over the day-to-day operation of IndyCar in addition to serving as CEO of Hulman & Company. Miles confirmed it Thursday evening. "I guess maybe people don't know it but I have been the CEO of IndyCar the past three years and I'm not changing my title – I'm just going to take more of a hands-on involvement and split my time," said Miles, who was hired in December of 2012....
