IndyCar: Hunter-Reay wins wild Pocono race, Wilson hurt by flying debris

Ryan Hunter-Reay scoring his second win of the season was the least surprising aspect of the ABC Supply 500 from Pocono Raceway, but the Andretti Autosport-Honda ace’s celebrations were muted as he, along with the whole IndyCar paddock, awaited medical updates on his part-time teammate Justin Wilson. The Briton’s car was struck by flying debris from Sage Karam’s Chip Ganassi Racing-Chevrolet as the young Pennsylvanian crashed out of the lead of his “home” event lap 179. What appeared to be the nosecone of the Ganassi car struck the cockpit area of Wilson’s machine.
