IndyCar: Andretti, Pedrosa face off on Indy road course
Which is faster around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, a Verizon IndyCar Series race car or a MotoGP motorcycle? The answer was inconclusive on Aug. 6, but it was fun to experiment. Verizon IndyCar Series driver Marco Andretti piloted his No. 27 Snapple Honda next to MotoGP’s Dani Pedrosa, riding the No. 26 Repsol Honda, in an exhibition lap to help promote the weekend’s Red Bull Indianapolis GP. Both said they didn’t want the exhibition to end, and that some day they would like to try the other’s machine. “I have a Repsol CVR (Honda motorcycle), it’s pretty cool – but nowhere near like these guys,’” said Andretti, a 10-year veteran of the Indianapolis 500...
