IndyCar: Castroneves tops Saturday practice in Toronto

Helio Castroneves headed times in third practice for tomorrow's Honda Indy Toronto, as one of three cars under the 1-minute barrier around the 1.755-mile course. The Brazilian veteran, who last won at this venue in the 1997 Indy Lights race, lapped in 59.6424sec, an average speed of 105.931mph, to head Penske-Chevrolet teammate Juan Montoya by just under two tenths of a second. Josef Newgarden (CFH Racing-Chevy) and Tony Kanaan (Chip Ganassi Racing-Chevy) broke up the Penske party by clocking third- and fifth-fastest times, leaving Will Power and Simon Pagenaud in fourth and sixth.
