IndyCar: Second Toronto practice washed out
Bad weather forced the second scheduled practice session for this weekend's IndyCar race in Toronto to be abandoned. Rain began to fall in the hour leading up to the start of the session, and there were large areas of standing water around the circuit when the track went green. Scott Dixon completed a single early exploratory lap and returned to the pits without registering a time, and as the session reached its allotted halfway mark without any other cars venturing onto the circuit and no sign of the conditions substantially improving, series officials made the decision to wave the checkered flag.
