IndyCar: Dixon leads Ganassi beatdown in Texas

Chip Ganassi Racing delivered a beatdown of epic proportions tonight at Texas Motor Speedway, as Scott Dixon earned his second victory of the season and the 37th of his illustrious career by winning the Firestone 600. The three-time Verizon IndyCar Series champion led teammate Tony Kanaan in a Ganassi-Chevrolet 1-2 to defeat Team Penske, who had dominated similarly during qualifying. It marked the second victory for Dixon at TMS as he led 97 laps, crediting a high-downforce Chevrolet option for helping to manage the tires.
