Sage Karam joins Chip Ganassi for St Petersburg

Sage Karam, the 2013 Indy Lights Champion, will start the first race of the 2015 Verizon IndyCar season in the #8 GE LED backed Chip Ganassi Racing machine. Signed as a development driver for the team last year, Karam will start his second IndyCar race after a very successful Indy 500 for Dreyer & Reinbold Racing where he started 31st and finished 9th. The racer, who was the youngest Indy Lights champion at the age of 18, will become the youngest starter for Chip Ganassi's eponymous team at the tender age of 20 – the previous record holder was Scott Dixon who was 22 in his first race for the team.
