Team Penske's Will Power storms to victory after chaotic race in Portland
Team Penske's Will Power claimed his second victory of the 2019 NTT IndyCar Series campaign after chaotic race in the Grand Prix of Portland. The Australian initially lost his second place starting spot to Scott Dixon and Jack Harvey into Turn 1 on the opening lap, but kept the leaders in sight in the early stages. Power had followed Dixon through as polesitter Colton Herta had gone off the cliff with his tyres before the first round of stops, however, on lap 52 Dixon's car had died due to a battery problem which allowed the 2014 series champion to take lead and not look back.
