Foyt team confirms Leist to partner Kanaan
A.J. Foyt Racing has confirmed that 19-year-old Brazilian Matheus Leist will drive its No. 4 ABC Supply Dallara-Chevrolet in the Verizon IndyCar Series next year, alongside veteran teammate Tony Kanaan. "I wanted a fresh start for 2018," said team owner Foyt, who fielded Carlos Munoz and Conor Daly this year. "I think the combination of an experienced driver like Tony and a hungry young driver like Matt will work. I watched him in the Indy Lights this year and he won at Indy [the Freedom 100 Indy Lights race].
