Gutierrez questionable for race after qualifying crash

The crash-plagued season of Dale Coyne Racing added another chapter in Toronto on Saturday, when Esteban Gutierrez crashed his No. 18 Honda at the exit of Turn 11 and put his status for the balance of the weekend into question. Although the Mexican driver initally appeared to have escaped unscathed from the incident, which caused heavy damage to the right side of his car, he was was evaluated by IndyCar Medical Director Dr. Michael Olinger for concussion-like symptoms. In a statement, IndyCar said Gutierrez "was treated and released but has not been cleared to drive, pending further evaluation Sunday morning."
