Chaves making the most of 'dream' Indy chance

Gabby Chaves has gone from driving IndyCar's two-seater and hoping to have an IndyCar ride again some day to a future. And it sounds like a good future. After impressing everyone as a rookie with Bryan Herta in 2015, the sponsor went away as did the ride. He made seven starts with Dale Coyne last year but then the reality of his business sat in and suddenly he was a 23-year-old with potential but nothing to drive except the fan friendly two-seater on IndyCar weekends. But a meeting with Mike Harding and Larry Curry last December blossomed into another opportunity to make his living in IndyCar.
