IndyCar 'thrilled' by McLaren/Alonso entry
– IndyCar Series CEO Mark Miles says he is "thrilled" by McLaren's decision to field a one-car team for Fernando Alonso at this year's Indianapolis 500.It was announced on Wednesday that Alonso will race an Andretti-run McLaren during this year's 101st running of the iconic event, with the car powered by a Honda engine.It marks a one-off return to IndyCar for McLaren, which claimed victory in 1974 and 1976 at the event, and also supplied the chassis for Penske's triumph in 1972.Alonso will link up with the Andretti team which triumphed with a rookie Alexander Rossi last year, a point noted by Miles."The entire IndyCar community – competitors, fans, media, everyone...
