Veach to replace injured Hildebrand at Barber

Zach Veach has been called up by Ed Carpenter Racing to stand in for the injured JR Hildebrand at this weekend's Verizon IndyCar Series race at Barber Motorsports Park. Hildebrand, who broke a bone in his left hand after coming together with Mikhail Aleshin during the Grand Prix of Long Beach, underwent surgery last week to repair the break and will need more time for it to heal. "I'm really thankful for this opportunity from Ed Carpenter Racing to make my debut, but I wish it wasn't because JR was hurt," Veach told RACER.
