Power captures seventh St. Pete pole

– In the first IndyCar qualifying of 2017, Will Power will start his quest for a third win at St. Petersburg from P1.  The Australian stormed to his 45th career pole position on Saturday, seven of which have come on the streets of St. Pete.The 2015 series champion needed just two laps on red tyres to set a blistering time of 1:01.0640, and in doing so, he denied what looked to be a strong opportunity for Honda to capture P1.  Nine of the top 12 qualifiers were Honda-powered, as were four of the top six, but Power fended off the fastest of the lot, Scott Dixon, by 0.1579 seconds.Under sunny skies, the first group of qualifying set out with several drivers who had run at the front in...
