Rossi clinches IndyCar rookie honours after Sonoma top-five

Alexander Rossi finished fifth at the season finale at Sonoma Raceway and in doing so clinched the rookie of the year honours. The Andretti Herta Autosport racer was set to finish fourth but slipped to fifth approaching the finish line as he ran out of fuel, with Rossi seeing the irony of him running out of fuel here when he did an amazing job at the Indianapolis 500 to win there back in May.
